Who We Are
General info
Founded in 1989, Rudnick Computer Consultants helps organizations
and individuals use computers more effectively. We serve both
the non-profit and private sectors. We work to become a functioning
member of your staff, operating as your Information Services
(IS) department. This helps us better understand your needs
and develop workable solutions. Our services include computer
installation, networking, programming, troubleshooting, technical
support, training, internet, e-mail and many other areas.Our
staff has collectively over 50 years working with computers.
We have two staff members who have programming experience
and three with training experience.
Our
Mission
Rudnick Computer Consultants helps you integrate computers
into the workplace by offering technical support, training,
programming, equipment purchasing and other assistance. We
work to become a part of your staff, giving you the resources
normally available only by hiring Information Services staff.
This reduces your overall costs without sacrificing the skills
you need.

Staff, Bios and responsibilities
Michael
Rudnick, President:
|
Michael
has over thirty years working with computers and
technology. He has held positions as a programmer,
systems programmer, training instructor, and consultant
in several companies including Allendale Insurance
and McGraw-Hill. He has taught computer classes
at Bryant College, Bristol Community College and
Learning Connection. Michael has extensive expertise
in pc-based systems, workstations and servers,
hardware and software. This includes system configuration
and troubleshooting. He has a BS in Computer Science
and a Masters in Education in Human Resource Education.

Linda
Nelson, Senior Consultant:
|
Linda
has over fifteen years experience in the Information
Systems field. She has worked at the Providence
Journal, ComputerWorld, Chadwick's of Boston and
other organizations in various positions including
Systems Programmer, Systems Management, Systems
Director and Vice President - Information Systems.
Linda has taught at Bryant College and the Learning
Connection. She is our "heavy-duty"
programmer and is proficient in all areas of computer
hardware and software support. Linda has BS degrees
in Computer Science and Mathematics.

Michelle
Barbieri, Consultant:
|
The
essential "inside" person, Michelle
handles equipment research, quotes and ordering
in addition to keeping the office running smoothly
and efficiently. She has been with us since 1997,
after having worked for twelve years at a Massachusetts
non-profit agency where she was instrumental in
computerizing the office.

Lee
O'Connor, Technical Consultant:
|
Lee
has been in the Information Systems field for
over 12 years. She gained most of her experience
hands-on with various IS positions over the years,
along with many Micro-Computing Courses at CCRI.
She has worked as a computer operator and supervisor
in the mainframe environment, PC Coordinator and
Technical Support Associate. She worked for nearly
16 years with Ann & Hope; her strongest contribution
was her exceptional end-user support. She has
supported over 300 users and implemented and maintained
a history of all Help Desk issues for Ann &
Hope Outlet Shops. Lee is very detail oriented
and possesses strong troubleshooting skills with
PCs, printers and radio frequency equipment.

John Redmond, Technical Consultant:
|
John has been in Information Technology for twelve years, starting in
Desktop Support and progressing to server and network administration and
into management. He has held positions as a Desktop Technician, Network
Administrator, Webmaster, Network Manager, and Manager of Information
Systems. He was the technology leader for a multi-state engineering firm and
for a public school district with 1500 computers and 3000 users. John is
well versed in hardware, software, security administration, and applying
best practices at all levels of the organization. John has trained in
Microsoft, Cisco, and Novell systems. He has designed and built complex
computer systems for clients and for fun.

Peter
Shubitowski, Technical Consultant:
|
Peter
has worked in technical fields for as long as he can remember.
After seven years heading Information Technology departments,
Peter brought his diverse employment background into the
Technology Consulting arena where for four years he has
excelled as a consultant focusing his talents on network
security and client satisfaction. Peter currently is living in
Westport Massachusetts but hails originally from Michigan.

Designed
and taught customized courses on computer hardware and software.
Designed, developed and implemented programs to hire and
train people for entry-level computer programming positions.
Developed and presented courses on management, negotiations,
decision-making, management by objectives, interpersonal communication,
sales and other areas.
Worked with managers and technical specialists to analyze
needs and develop customized training.
Provided consultation and organizational development approaches
for individuals, work groups, managers and Boards of Directors,
both in and out of meetings - to suggest ways to function more effectively
and ensure that interpersonal communication is handled approperiately.
Developed manuals for improved effectiveness of project and
departmental teams.
Founded and helped manage a non-profit agency; coordinated
volunteers; managed the recruitment and facilitated the installation
of Board of Directors.
